The Baby –

  • Is around 20 inches long and weighs up to 7 pounds.

  • Maybe you are ready for all the good things that are going to happen. If you have multiples and have not delivered yet, maybe it is time. A lot of doctors prefer this time for delivering twins.

If you have planned for C-section either because you already had it or for other purposes, there are chances that it is the right time. If you have a singlet, the lungs are the only organ developing and the fetus is almost finished growing. Fat keeps on storing under his/her skin.

The uterus drops and the labor process starts. Your brain receives the signal that your baby is ready when the cervix is pressured. It triggers the ripening of the cervix and the release of hormones.
