Week Eleven Pregnancy

The Baby –

• Is almost the size of a large lime or lemon. Finally compared with a fruit.
• Already a fetus and is a human body with non-webbed toes and fingers. Of course s/he needs more fattening up
•  Kicking, moving and dancing. However, you need to wait for a few more weeks to feel his/her acrobatic moves.

You –

• You might be wondering how better or less tired or sick you must be feeling by now.

You may often be relieved because vomiting and nausea are almost gone by this period. Now you can feel free to eat but it doesn’t mean you can eat all food or anything you want. A well-balanced diet is always recommended for expectant moms to take care of their health and their fetus. The uterus has grown almost like a grapefruit and you can easily feel the same by touch. If there are multiples in your womb, the uterus might be larger and you might feel morning sickness for a few weeks or more.

Prenatal testing goes on till the 40th week of gestation. In some tests, you may get clear-cut answers, including a test for gonorrhea but some others a long list of fears and questions. You need to discuss all the tests with your midwife or doctor along with the potential results. Nuclear Translucency Screen or “First Trimester Test” might be conducted to assess any chromosomal anomalies like Down syndrome.
